Holy family NewsLetter and National Pastoral Letter on the New Translation of The Roman Missal

The new Mass translation can be seen on section 4 Mass and the Sacraments.
** 9th June we celebrated 60th Anniversary of the founding of the parish . We had a special celebration Mass and on 11th of June a celebration meal at Christ the King club.
The mission of Holy Family Parish is to provide a spiritual environment
for our Christ-centered community of believers through the spiritual development
of all baptized Catholics as set out in the documents of Second Vatican Council.
We will continue to support the ecclesial ministries of our community through
evangelization, education and celebration of Christ's love for all his people.
On-going spiritual development through the Liturgy, the Word, the Sacraments,
personal witness, and education will continue to develop the awareness that
all are called to support the mission of the Church, both spiritually and
temporally. Our community is called to serve the needs of our brothers and
sisters. We will serve all people in our parish, build up the Church, and
to continue our ministries to bring Christ to the world. Thus, we are called
to live and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ Our Lord in accordance with
our Catholic Faith.

Forthcoming and recent Special events in Our Parish On Tuesday 15th February 2011 we welcomed Bishop William who came to confirm our year six children. Our Parish sister Angela celebrated 60 years as a professed nun in the order of the "Sisters of Charity of St Paul" on April 7th *
Fr Des our Parish Priest celebrated 30 yrs a priest On May 2nd
"HAPPY ANIVERSARY FR DES". It was a very happy holy family Occasion with plenty of good food. 5 priests came to concelebrate with Fr Des. His Mother and sister Dympna were also present.
Saturdays 14th and 21st May at 10am Our school children made their First Holy Communion. We congratulate them and pray for them, their parents and their teachers.
Monday 25th July Fr Des is took the Altar servers to Cadbury World as a thank you for their service over the last year.
GALA DAY June 25th This was a Great success. Total profit approx �8000 this included a £ for £ price match by Barclays Bank for which we are very grateful. Fr Frank Daly and his team of St Peter's Players from Hinkley will be performing "Mother Mary " a musical spiritual experienced based on the Nativity. Words by Fr Frank Daly music by ABBA. Monday 19th December 7.00pm
